Weed control plays an important part by protecting our native biodiversity from competition from invasive weed species. Since most land is privately owned we encourage people to control weeds on their own properties.  Volunteers have kept our roadsides weed free for years.  Roadside Weed control blitz’s are occasionally carried out with funding from the EBoIPS where there are highly invasive weeds threatening to spread, such as moth plant, pampas grass and tobacco weed to name the worst.
